Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead structural analysis and design for reinforced concrete, structural steel, and composite systems across multiple projects.
- Develop and review design calculations, drawings, and specifications to ensure code compliance (AISC, ACI, ECs/CODEs applicable in KSA), performance, constructability, and safety.
- Coordinate with architects, MEP teams, geotechnical engineers, and project managers to integrate structural systems with architectural and MEP constraints.
- Prepare progress reports, technical memos, design briefs, and bid documentation; provide mentorship to junior engineers and drafters.
- Conduct structural risk assessments, manage design reviews, and evaluate constructibility and cost implications.
- Perform site visits, monitor construction activities, respond to RFIs, and ensure quality control through construction administration.
- Contribute to BIM workflows (e.g., Revit/AutoCAD) for model coordination, clash detection, and fabrication drawings.
- Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and QA/QC processes; support procurement and contractor coordination as needed.
- Stay current with industry standards, local regulations, and best practices in structural engineering within Saudi Arabia.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification; Internationally recognized credentials are preferred.
- Minimum of [X] years of progressive structural design experience, with exposure to codes and standards applicable in Saudi Arabia.
- Strong knowledge of structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, STAAD.Pro) and BIM tools (Revit) for coordination and documentation.
- Proven experience in design of reinforced concrete, steel, and composite structures; familiarity with lightweight materials and seismic design is advantageous.
- Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills; ability to prepare clear reports and present to stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to relocate or already based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; valid work authorization for Saudi Arabia.
