Job Summary:Manage all activities end to end related to Supply Chain including but not limited to Procurement, Demand Planning, Material Planning, Sourcing, Ordering, Warehouse, and Inventory & Logistics.
Job Role:
Procurement
Achieve 100% on-time-in-full (OTIF) delivery from suppliers, and limiting inventory to the stock levels agreed with the relevant Operations Managers per business unit. Negotiating terms and prices with suppliers and freight companies, monitoring and assessing their performance and maintaining cost-effective practices Run professional tender processes that meet all agreed outcomes
Supply Chain:
Reviewing and updating supply chain practices in line with company policies, standards, laws and regulations Identifying and minimizing risk by predicting the demand for products and adopting new technology with no interruption to the process Managing inventory, packing and distributing
RISK Management:
Introduce alternative suppliers/products that augments/replaces existing raw materials and obtain a measurable improvement on cost/quality availability and/or mitigate risk. Maintain a minimum of 3 suppliers per raw material input that originates from the Euro and the USD zones.
Research & Forecast: Research and forecast markets every day. Propose and apply agreed remedies to mitigate the market risks to Gulf Industrial Group and to capitalize on opportunities in time.
Reports:Construct monthly reports on:The findings, decisions made and resulting action plans of the meetings held with internal customers (Operations Managers and Buyers) as well as external suppliers. Market trends and recommendations Price movement and availability issues Performance against market indices Performance against OTIF delivery
Skills and requirements:Can handle stress and manages emotions Is passionate and optimistic Can digest information quickly and act swiftly Proficiency in MS office, Excel, Outlook, PPT etc. Excellent knowledge of end to end Supply Chain Fluency in English is a must (Read, Write & Speak) Arabic is preferable
Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Supply Chain Certification in CIPS, CPP or CSCP is preferred. An MBA qualification from an accredited and reputable institution is advantageous
Experience A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the current company with a similar position from a Manufacturing background Experienced in Specialty Chemicals and Packaging would be preferable.
