Job Summary
The Head of Sales & Business Development is
responsible for driving revenue growth and establishing long-term market
leadership in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on expanding the company’s
footprint in large-scale, turnkey greenhouse and protected agriculture
projects, positioning the organization as a strategic partner aligned with Saudi
Vision 2030, food security, and sustainability objectives.
Reporting to the CEO / Managing Director, this role combines market strategy,
business development, commercial leadership, and senior stakeholder engagement
to secure high-impact, flagship projects across the Kingdom.
Job Responsibilities
- Define and execute the Saudi Arabia go-to-market and growth strategy, with clear targets for revenue, margins, and market share.
- Identify and develop opportunities linked to Vision 2030 programs, MEWA initiatives, food security projects, agri-investments, and giga-projects.
- Lead end-to-end business development and sales activities for large and complex projects, including opportunity origination, technical coordination, commercial proposals, tendering, negotiations, and handover to execution teams.
- Own pricing, margin, and risk strategies, ensuring commercial discipline and competitiveness within the Saudi market.
- Secure and scale flagship (lighthouse) projects that establish long-term presence and strong market references in KSA.
- Build and manage strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including government and semi-government entities, EPC contractors, agronomy consultants, investors, and large agri-industrial groups.
- Develop and manage a strong local partner ecosystem to meet Saudization, local-content, and regulatory requirements.
- Act as executive sponsor for key Saudi accounts, positioning the company as a long-term strategic partner rather than a transactional supplier.
- Build, lead, and develop a Saudi-focused sales organization, including hiring and mentoring local talent.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Projects, Finance, Supply Chain, and Marketing to ensure optimized solutions, effective risk management, strong cash-flow control, and market visibility.
Requirements- 8–12+ years of experience in B2B project sales or business development within greenhouses / controlled environment agriculture (CEA), agri-engineering, EPC, infrastructure, or capital equipment sectors.
- Proven track record of closing large, complex, or government-linked projects in Saudi Arabia.
- Strong understanding of Saudi procurement processes, tendering, contract negotiations, LC structures, bonds, and milestone-based contracts.
- Established network within the Saudi agriculture, food, infrastructure, or investment ecosystem.
- Strategic, relationship-driven leader with strong commercial acumen and pricing discipline.
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, Business, or a related field.
- Fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory.
