Role Purpose To provide comprehensive leadership for pharmacy services, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, financial sustainability, and continuous performance improvement while supporting the organization’s overall strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee all pharmacy operations, including pharmacists, technical, and administrative staff. Develop and implement pharmacy strategies aligned with organizational goals. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and quality improvement programs. Drive pharmacy performance through KPI development, monitoring, and reporting. Identify growth opportunities, optimize pharmacy services, and enhance revenue performance. Oversee budgeting, financial performance, and cost optimization initiatives. Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams (Finance, Marketing, Operations). Prepare periodic operational and performance reports for senior management. Promote a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement. Represent the pharmacy function at internal and external professional engagements.
Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution (Master’s or Pharm D preferred). Valid professional pharmacy license. Minimum 10 years of comprehensive pharmacy experience. At least 3 years in a pharmacy managerial or leadership role. Strong knowledge of hospital or healthcare pharmacy operations. Proven leadership, analytical, and strategic planning skills. Experience with performance metrics, reporting, and business development is highly desirable.
