About the role

This posting covers multiple Data Science internship functions: FOCAL, OSOS, and Solutions. Each function has a slightly different focus, but all internships share the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with real AI and data science projects, work closely with experienced data scientists, and contribute to real-world impact.

OSOS – Data Science Intern

• Focus: Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Models (LLMs), and exposure to pretraining and fine-tuning models.
• Requirements: Basic Python skills, interest in NLP and LLMs, Arabic language proficiency (preferred), and foundational understanding of machine learning and AI concepts.
• Responsibilities: Support NLP model experimentation, assist with data preparation and analysis, help with LLM-related tasks, collaborate with team members, and document findings.

FOCAL – Data Science Intern

• Focus: Data-driven insights, statistical analysis, and machine learning to support product and strategic decision-making.
• Requirements: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, basic proficiency in Python/R/SQL, strong analytical thinking, and good communication skills.
• Responsibilities: Assist with data analysis and modeling, support experimentation, collaborate with product and engineering teams, and contribute to business and product insights.

Solutions – Data Science Intern

• Focus: Data analysis, applied machine learning use cases, and supporting the deployment of AI solutions in client-facing environments.
• Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or in progress) in a relevant field, basic programming skills in Python/R/SQL, familiarity with data analysis concepts, and interest in applied data science.
• Responsibilities: Support data preprocessing and quality checks, assist with ML models and visualizations, communicate results, and contribute to solution-oriented data science projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or in progress) in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Passion for AI, data science, and learning through hands-on experience
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate insights effectively
