Job Overview:The Business Development Executive is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing client relationships, and supporting the growth of the company’s contracting and construction portfolio. The role focuses on project acquisition, market expansion, tender support, and client engagement across public and private sectors. Key Responsibilities:1. Business Development & Salesa. Identify and pursue new project opportunities in contracting, construction, and related services.b. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, developers, and government entities.c. Conduct market research to identify upcoming projects, trends, and competitors.d. Prepare and deliver company presentations, capability statements, and proposals to clients.
2. Tendering & Pre-Contract Supporta. Coordinate with Estimation, Technical, and Commercial teams during tender preparation.b. Follow up on submitted tenders and manage post-submission clarifications.
3. Client & Stakeholder Managementa. Act as the primary point of contact for potential clients during pre-award stages.b. Attend meetings, site visits, exhibitions, and industry events.c. Ensure customer satisfaction and long-term relationship development.
4. Strategic & Reporting Dutiesa. Develop and maintain a business pipeline and sales forecast.b. Prepare periodic reports on leads, opportunities, win/loss analysis, and market intelligence.c. Support management in developing growth strategies and expansion plans.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI) : 1. Number and value of new leads and opportunities generated.2. Revenue contribution from new clients.3. Client retention and relationship growth.4. Accuracy and timeliness of reports.
Qualifications & Requirements:1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.2. 3–5 years of experience in business development within construction / contracting companies.3. Strong understanding of construction projects, tendering processes, and contracts.4. Experience dealing with consultants, developers, and government entities.5. Strong negotiation and communication skills.6. Commercial and financial awareness.7. Relationship-building and networking skills.8. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Word).9. CRM systems experience is a plus.10. Excellent English communication skills (Arabic is his native language).
