The Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and controlling all site activities related to Plumbing and firefighting systems installation, testing, and commissioning.
The supervisor leads site technicians, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship and timely completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Supervision & Execution
- Supervise day-to-day site activities for plumbing and fire fighting systems, including:
- Cold & hot water supply systems
- Drainage, waste & vent (DWV) systems
- Irrigation systems
- Fire fighting systems (sprinkler system, standpipe, fire pump rooms, foam system)
- Hydrostatic pressure testing
- Flushing and cleaning of pipe network
- Fire fighting flow and pressure tests
- Drainage testing
- Ensure installations comply with approved shop drawings, material submittals, method statements.
- Coordinate pipe routing, equipment installation, supports, sleeves, and openings with other trades.
- Monitor manpower productivity and allocate resources efficiently.
- Report daily progress, site issues, manpower status, and material requirements to the Project Manager.
- Request required Materials as approved shop drawing
- Ensure tools, equipment, and machinery are used properly and safely.
Qualifications & Experience Requirements:
- Diploma or Technical Certificate in mechanical/plumbing/firefighting systems.
- 5–8 years of hands-on site experience, preferably in Gulf countries.
- Strong experience in plumbing and fire fighting systems installation.
- Ability to read and understand shop drawings and schematics.
- Good leadership and team-handling skills.
