Application Support Officer

TAHAKOM - Saudi - Riyadh

JOB PURPOSE

The Application Support Officer is responsible for managing, supporting, and troubleshooting enterprise applications to ensure they operate smoothly and meet business requirements. This role involves providing technical support, resolving issues, and assisting with application deployments and upgrades. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience with application support in a business environment.


JOB TECHNICAL ACCOUNTIBLITES

  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of application software to ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction.
  • Provide technical support to users, addressing application issues, guiding them through troubleshooting steps, and ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Conduct rigorous testing of new applications and updates to identify and resolve bugs before deployment.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing existing applications based on user feedback and operational needs and implement these changes effectively.
  • Monitor application performance and usage, proactively identifying potential issues and optimizing resources to ensure smooth operations.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and quality assurance methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, particularly in resolving user issues and improving application usability.


JOB GENERAL ACCOUNTBILITES

  • Provide technical support for enterprise applications, including troubleshooting and resolving issues related to software functionality, performance, and integration.
  • Monitor application performance, identify and address potential issues, and ensure applications are running efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage application updates, patches, and configuration changes to maintain system stability and security.
  • Follow all relevant policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions and ensure work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices, considering leading practices, improvement of business processes, cost reduction, and productivity improvement.
  • Promote the implementation and adherence to relevant policies, processes, and operating procedures to others.
  • Adhere to risk management rules and regulations in the delivery of own work to always ensure compliance.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS


Knowledge & Experience 0 to 4 years of experience in IT or relevant experience

Education & Certifications Bachelors Tech in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or Computer Application or other graduation stream with relevant experience.
