Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Prospecting & Lead Generation:
- Identify and qualify potential customers through cold calling, networking, email campaigns, and attending industry events or trade shows.
- Develop and execute a targeted outreach strategy to create opportunities for software sales.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, consistently meeting or exceeding lead generation targets.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, including CTOs, CIOs, IT directors, and business executives.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to highlight the value and benefits of the software solutions.
- Understand customer pain points and offer customized solutions that meet their needs.
- Sales Process & Closing:
- Lead the sales process from initial contact through contract negotiation and closing.
- Prepare and deliver proposals, quotes, and pricing models in alignment with client needs and budgets.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., product, technical support, and customer success) to ensure a smooth sales handoff and ongoing client satisfaction.
- Market & Product Knowledge:
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor offerings, and product features to position our software solutions effectively in the marketplace.
- Continuously learn about new software features and updates to effectively communicate value propositions to prospects.
- Sales Reporting & Analytics:
- Track and report on sales performance, activities, and pipeline status using CRM tools.
- Provide regular updates to sales management on progress, challenges, and market feedback.
- Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and optimize sales strategies.
- Collaboration & Teamwork:
- Work closely with the marketing team to align messaging, content, and campaigns with sales efforts.
- Collaborate with the customer success and technical teams to ensure successful onboarding and customer satisfaction post-sale.
Skills
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in software sales or technology sales, preferably within [industry or sector].
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of software products and the ability to translate technical features into business value.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence decision-makers.
- Proficiency in using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to conduct engaging product demos.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
