Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Senior Transportation Operations & Fleet Planning Specialist to manage daily transportation planning, fleet and driver allocation, shipment distribution, and trip execution. The role is responsible for optimizing fleet utilization, minimizing empty trips and operational costs, monitoring vehicle movements, and ensuring efficient transportation operations in compliance with Saudi regulations and company policies. Key Responsibilities Prepare daily and weekly transportation plans for vehicles and drivers based on shipment requirements. Allocate shipments to vehicles and drivers based on location, capacity, availability, and customer requirements. Prepare trip schedules and organize the movement of vehicles and drivers. Monitor trip execution and ensure drivers adhere to approved plans and schedules. Monitor vehicle movements through GPS and vehicle tracking systems. Maintain continuous communication with drivers and provide them with trip and shipment details. Follow up on delays, vehicle breakdowns, and operational issues and take appropriate corrective actions. Re-plan trips and reallocate shipments in response to operational changes, urgent requests, or unexpected situations. Optimize fleet utilization and minimize empty trips and unnecessary operational costs. Coordinate closely with Customer Service and Operations teams to ensure efficient shipment execution. Monitor vehicle and driver availability and ensure readiness for scheduled trips. Prepare daily and weekly reports covering trips, vehicles, drivers, and shipment status. Monitor fleet performance and analyze utilization rates, delays, and overall operational efficiency. Contribute to developing and improving transportation planning and shipment allocation processes. Ensure compliance with company policies, transportation procedures, and applicable transportation requirements and regulations in Saudi Arabia. Provide support and guidance to junior members of the Operations team when required. Work with Logisti platform, MODON platform, and the Transport General Authority (TGA) systems. Perform other transportation planning and operational tasks as assigned. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation operations, fleet planning, or transportation management. Strong experience in vehicle and driver planning and shipment allocation. Strong preference for candidates with previous experience in transportation and logistics operations in Saudi Arabia. Good knowledge of transportation operations and fleet management within Saudi Arabia. Experience using GPS and vehicle tracking systems. Strong ability to plan trips and efficiently allocate vehicles and drivers. Excellent organizational, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and transportation/logistics management systems. Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to operational changes and urgent requirements. Fluent English, both spoken and written. Good command of Arabic and Urdu is required. Strong communication and coordination skills, particularly when dealing with drivers and operational teams.
