About the Senior Cortex Developer Role

TawanTech is seeking a highly experienced Senior Cortex Developer to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves end-to-end development, customization, integration, and optimization of Cortex-based solutions. The successful candidate will ensure scalability, performance, and alignment with business requirements, acting as a strong technical leader and subject matter expert in Cortex technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced solutions utilizing Cortex platform capabilities, including customization of modules, reusable components, workflows, and services.
• Lead system design and architecture discussions for Cortex implementations, defining technical solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
• Integrate Cortex with core banking systems, third-party applications, and external APIs, including the design and implementation of REST/SOAP services.
• Analyze system performance, resolve bottlenecks, debug complex technical issues in Cortex environments, and conduct root cause analysis to implement preventive solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, conduct code reviews, and enforce best practices within the development team.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes, manage version control, and ensure smooth migrations between development, UAT, and production environments.

Required Technical Expertise

• Cortex Platform: Strong hands-on experience with end-to-end Cortex platform development, deep understanding of its architecture, modules, configurations, customization, workflows, and integrations. Ability to troubleshoot and optimize Cortex-based systems is mandatory.
• Programming & Databases: Proficiency in one or more of Java, .NET, or Python. Solid experience with SQL and database design. Knowledge of microservices architecture.
• Integration & APIs: Experience integrating Cortex with enterprise systems. Understanding of middleware and messaging systems. Familiarity with API gateways and service orchestration.
• Tools & Platforms: Experience with Git/version control systems. Familiarity with CI/CD tools (*, Jenkins, Azure DevOps). Experience with cloud environments (AWS/Azure) is a plus.

Collaboration and Leadership

The Senior Cortex Developer will work closely with Business Analysts, QA teams, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. This role requires the ability to drive design decisions, handle complex implementations, and foster a collaborative development environment.

Qualifications and Experience

• Overall Experience: 5–10+ years of experience in software development.
• Cortex-Specific Experience: A minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience specifically with the Cortex platform.
• Domain Experience: Experience in Banking or Financial Services, particularly within a core banking environment, is highly preferred. Experience working with large-scale enterprise systems.
