About The Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Fixed Assets Accountant to manage the full lifecycle of fixed assets, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support asset optimization across the organization. The role contributes to financial control, compliance, and operational efficiency while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Core Responsibilities:
Fixed Assets Management: Record new fixed assets, maintain accurate accounting records, and manage asset capitalization and disposals. Depreciation & Valuation: Calculate and record depreciation in line with accounting policies, and conduct periodic asset valuations to determine current market value. Asset Verification & Control: Perform physical asset verification, reconcile records with system data, and investigate discrepancies. Reporting & Analysis: Prepare regular fixed asset reports covering asset status, movements, utilization, and value. Operational Efficiency: Ensure fixed assets are in good working condition, maximize utilization, and improve return on investment (ROI). Policies & Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and accounting standards related to fixed assets. Team Support & Knowledge Sharing: Provide guidance and on-the-job training to junior team members and support knowledge-sharing initiatives. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance systems, processes, productivity, and cost efficiency.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years. Skills: Strong knowledge, Microsoft Office, Excellent communication skills, in English (Arabic is a strong advantage). Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting or any other related field.
