Spencer Ogden is currently partnering with a leading global energy solutions provider to deliver a high-impact engineering project across Saudi Arabia. We are seeking experienced Field Service Engineers with a strong background in medium voltage (MV) drives and Motors power systems to support multiple sites across the Kingdom. If you’re looking for a dynamic, hands-on role with room for long-term extension and a chance to work on cutting-edge industrial technology, this could be for you. Key Requirements✅ Must hold Saudi citizenship or a transferrable Iqama✅ Willingness to travel and work across multiple locations in KSA – incl. Madinah, Tabuk, Jeddah, and Riyadh✅ Able to advise on expected cost if managing your own accommodation and travel in these regions Desired Skills & Experience Proven hands-on experience with MV variable speed drives (ideally 6–36k V; e.g. GE MV7000) Strong understanding of electrical power systems: power electronics, rotating equipment, switchgear, transformers, and protection systems Familiarity with PLCs and industrial protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP) for integrating VSDsProficiency in using electrical testing and diagnostic tools: IR testing, PD testing, current injection, oscilloscopes, etc. Experience with large motor commissioning (sync/async machines up to several MW), including no-load/load testing Solid grasp of industrial safety procedures: LOTO, arc-flash, HV safety, commissioning risk assessments Competency in interpreting electrical schematics, SLDs, and system drawings Key Responsibilities Coordinate with PMs and engineering teams to plan and execute technical activities on-site Conduct installation, alignment, commissioning, and post-installation support of MV drive systems Serve as the technical point of contact for customer support and troubleshooting Perform diagnostics, identify failure root causes, and implement preventive solutions Manage documentation: technical reports, progress updates, drawings, and test records Prepare and manage tools, materials, and spares to ensure quality and readiness Promote and integrate process improvements to enhance service delivery Ensure strict compliance with safety and quality standards
