The Country Logistics Head will oversee end‑to‑end logistics operations across Saudi Arabia, ensuring high‑quality warehousing, distribution, and transportation performance for all sales channels. This role requires strong expertise in large‑scale warehouse management, trucking operations, budgeting, and SAP‑based logistics. The candidate will bring solid financial acumen to conduct feasibility studies, optimize costs, and support strategic decisions. 1. Strategic Leadership Develop and implement the logistics strategy aligned with the company’s retail growth plans. Lead logistics operations covering warehousing, distribution, and trucking across the Kingdom. Partner with senior leadership to support store expansion, supply chain optimization, and retail distribution requirements.
2. Warehousing & Distribution Management Oversee large-scale warehouses ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with safety standards. Implement warehouse automation, best practices, and inventory control processes. Ensure timely and cost-effective distribution of goods to retail outlets and customers. Local knowledge of the logistics real estate market is vital. The candidate should be well-versed in providing diverse solutions related to expansion, rent, build-to-suit, third party contracting, and other available options in the market. Enabling the company to make strategic decisions that align with our company's growth objectives.
3. Transportation & Trucking Operations Manage company-owned and outsourced trucking operations for nationwide distribution. Optimize routing, fleet utilization, and logistics costs while maintaining high service levels. Monitor compliance with transport regulations, driver safety, and delivery performance KPIs. Logistics contracts management, particularly with 2PL and 3PL. with ability to conduct in-depth feasibility and comparison analyses to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective solutions are selected.
4. Financial Management Develop and manage annual logistics budgets, including warehousing and transportation costs. Drive cost optimization initiatives while maintaining operational excellence. Monitor financial performance, prepare reports, and present to executive management. Should have a strong understanding of financial principles and be able to apply this knowledge to make informed decisions that positively impact the logistics operations.
5. Systems & Process Improvement Ensure full utilization of SAP (ERP) in logistics, warehouse management, and reporting. Establish KPIs and dashboards to track efficiency, cost, and service levels. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs. Proven experience in system implementation and digital transformation improvements related to logistics systems and dashboards. To ensure that logistics operations are continuously evolving and leveraging the latest technological advancements.
6. People Leadership Lead, coach, and develop a diverse logistics team across warehouses and trucking operations. Build a performance-driven culture with a focus on accountability, safety, and service. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (procurement, supply chain, retail, finance).
Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred).12–15 years of logistics/supply chain experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Proven expertise in large-scale warehouse management, trucking operations, and distribution networks. Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, costing, and financial analysis. Hands-on experience with WMS, SAP or other ERP systems. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Strong understanding of Saudi logistics regulations and retail distribution challenges.
