Job Brief:

The QA/QC Specialist for Fruits and Vegetables ensures that all produce meets the highest quality standards from farm to market. This role involves developing and implementing inspection processes, monitoring product quality, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and implement quality control and quality assurance procedures specific to fruits and vegetables.

· Conduct regular inspections and tests on produce to identify and resolve quality issues.

· Monitor the entire packing process to ensure quality standards are maintained.

· Analyse quality data and prepare reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.

· Work closely with packing staff to implement best practices for quality and safety.

· Ensure compliance with local and international food safety standards and regulations.

· Train and supervise packing staff on proper inspection techniques and safety protocols.

· Investigate and resolve any quality complaints from customers and provide feedback to the packing team.

· Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and other quality control activities.

· Stay updated on industry trends, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

· Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming raw materials

Qualification :

· Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Food Science, or a related field.

· Minimum of 4 years of experience in quality assurance/control, preferably in the fruits and vegetables industry.

· Knowledge of local and international food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000).

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
