JOB PURPOSE:
To oversee and manage the load-out operations within the Protein Department of an organization, this role involves coordinating the efficient and accurate loading of finished products onto trucks or other transportation vehicles, ensuring compliance with customer orders, quality standards, and safety regulations.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Core Accountabilities
- Coordinate the load-out operations, including scheduling, coordinating equipment and personnel, and ensuring the availability of finished products for shipment.
- Collaborate with the production planning team to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders.
- Oversee the loading of finished products onto trucks or other transportation vehicles, ensuring proper handling, secure packaging, and compliance with loading protocols.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to quality control standards during the load-out process, including product inspection, labeling, and documentation.
- Train and supervise load-out personnel, providing guidance on safe and efficient loading techniques, equipment operation, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Coordinate with the logistics team to optimize transportation routes, maximize load capacity, and minimize delivery delays.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety among load-out personnel.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of load-out activities, including product quantities, loading times, and any incidents or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the Director of Production to develop and implement strategies for improving load-out efficiency, reducing errors, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Communicate and coordinate with internal departments, such as production, quality control, and customer service, to address any load-out-related issues or concerns.
Policies, System, Processes and Procedures
- Manage the development and implementation of the Manufacturing policies, systems, processes and procedures, identifying potential areas for improvement, to ensure efficient and effective operation.
- Ensure compliance with corporate requirements on adherence to policies, procedures and instructions related to all relevant regulatory directives to ensure a safe and risk-free environment.
Change Management & Reporting
- Motivate the employees and contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account best practices.
- Ensure that all departmental reports and statements are completed timely and comply with local and international principles of governance and the organization's policies and standards.
JOB CONTEXT
Supervisor - Load Out will work in the assigned areas and might have to travel as and when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Education and Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- MBA or Masters in a related field (Preferred)
Experience:
2-3 years of experience in a supervisory role in a load-out or shipping operation, preferably within the protein processing or food manufacturing industry.
