Taager is the first B2B startup focused on social sellers- Merchants. We are democratizing the social e-commerce space by enabling budding as well as seasoned entrepreneurs to sell online with no required capital, inventory, or operational experience.  We have our Merchants covered from merchandising, warehousing, shipping, cash collection and customer service.

In 2019 we started as a team of 8 people, now we are over 350 employees across Egypt, KSA and the UAE.  We serve more than 34K social e-commerce sellers from incredibly diverse backgrounds – from students earning a part-time income to highly ambitious digital marketing experts looking to become solo entrepreneurs. The sellers on our platform benefit from access to 2,500+ highly marketable products. Our people are driven by our mission and motivated by our desire to deliver the most seamless customer experience to the sellers on our platform. With a continuous focus on quality and execution, we are changing the social e-commerce landscape in the MENA region!

About the Role

As the Head of People Culture, you will play a pivotal role in fostering and maintaining a vibrant, growth-oriented culture within Taager. Your primary focus will be on cultivating an environment where individuals can thrive, feel motivated, and contribute to Taager's success. You will serve as a champion of our core values, ensuring alignment between our people's practices and business objectives. Balancing the needs of our employees with the needs of the business will be at the heart of your responsibilities, driving employee engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will lead the development and implementation of strategies to nurture and enhance Taager’s culture, ensuring alignment with our values, mission, and vision.
  • You will foster a culture of continuous learning, growth, and innovation, empowering employees to take ownership of their development and pursue ambitious goals.
  • You will regularly assess and analyze cultural dynamics, leveraging feedback mechanisms to identify areas for improvement and drive positive change.
  • You will develop and execute initiatives to enhance employee engagement, morale, and satisfaction, fostering a sense of belonging and pride in the organization.
  • You will implement creative approaches to recognize and reward employee contributions, celebrating achievements and fostering a culture of appreciation.
  • You will act as a trusted advisor and advocate for employees, proactively addressing concerns and promoting open communication channels.
  • You will work with the People & Culture Business partners to attract top talent that aligns with our culture and values, ensuring a diverse and inclusive workforce.
  • You will continuously enhance and improve upon the current talent development programs, including mentoring, coaching, and leadership development initiatives.
  • You will implement strategies to retain key talent, conducting regular assessments of retention risks and implementing targeted interventions to address them.
  • You will collaborate closely with senior leadership to align people strategies with business goals and objectives, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
  • You will balance the needs of the organization with the needs of our employees, ensuring that people practices are both impactful and sustainable in driving business success.
  • You will monitor key HR metrics and analytics to measure the effectiveness of people's initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
  • You will oversee and manage the HR operations (Payroll & Employee relations)
  • In-depth knowledge of HR operations, payroll, and labor laws and regulations in Egypt, KSA, and UAE.

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field).Proven experience working in startups and scaling teams.Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role, with a focus on culture development, employee engagement, and talent management.Deep understanding of organizational development principles, change management methodologies, and best practices in HR.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport, influence stakeholders, and inspire teams.Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data-driven insights to inform decision-making and measure the impact of people initiatives.Passion for creating inclusive, high-performance cultures where individuals can thrive and grow professionally.
