Role Description The High School English Teacher at abaq al ilm is a full-time, on-site role based in Jeddah. The teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging English lessons aligned with curriculum standards, including literature, reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and critical thinking skills. Daily tasks include preparing lesson plans, assessing student performance, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate records of grades and progress. The role involves creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment, differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs, and supporting students’ academic and personal growth. The teacher will also participate in departmental meetings, collaborate with colleagues, communicate regularly with parents/guardians, and contribute to school activities and professional development initiatives.
Qualifications
Ability to design and implement effective Lesson Planning that aligns with curriculum goals and student learning outcomes. Strong English Teaching and general Teaching skills, with experience instructing high school students in literature, language, and writing. Excellent Communication and Writing skills to explain concepts clearly, provide feedback, and engage students in classroom discussions. Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field; teaching certification or license is preferred. Experience working in a school setting, ideally at the high school level, with knowledge of modern teaching methodologies and classroom management. Commitment to creating an inclusive, respectful learning environment and supporting students from diverse backgrounds. Strong organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and school leadership. Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to school-wide initiatives and events.
