We are conducting a search on behalf of a major offshore drilling operator in Saudi Arabia for a Senior Manager – Technical to lead strategic and technical oversight of fleet equipment, maintenance, and reliability across offshore rig operations.
Role Overview:This role owns the strategic and technical direction of the fleet's maintenance and reliability function — spanning CMMS, well control, Field Support, and capital equipment management — while driving compliance, longevity, and continuous improvement initiatives across the offshore asset base.
Key Responsibilities:Lead Technical Support, Well Control, and Maintenance & Reliability department strategy, goals, and standards Manage department budgets, resources, and tools Oversee SAP CMMS implementation and standardized maintenance practices fleet-wide Direct offshore Field Support teams supporting rig-based mechanical, electrical, and well control integrity Develop 5-year equipment inspection and maintenance philosophies Provide strategic technical input into annual maintenance budgets Lead equipment downtime incident investigations and corrective actions Evaluate new technologies for rig implementation Support SPS, reactivation, and upgrade projects across the fleet
Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Engineering Minimum 15 years' experience in Oil & Gas, including 5+ years in a Technical Managerial role Proven leadership in Offshore Technical Troubleshooting, Maintenance & Project Management
Skills:Strong leadership, mentoring, and team development capability Advanced technical problem-solving across offshore fleet operations Advanced Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Project proficiency Working knowledge of document control systems and databases
