Lead and supervise production engineers, supervisors and fabrication teams involved in piping system fabrication and FAT activities.
Plan, coordinate and monitor fabrication, assembly, hydrotesting, flushing, preservation and FAT execution.
Review fabrication drawings, P&IDs, isometric drawings, material specifications and manufacturing procedures.
Ensure all fabrication and testing activities comply with project specifications, company procedures and applicable industry standards.
Coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC, Procurement, Planning and Project Management departments to ensure smooth project execution.
Resolve fabrication related technical issues and support effective decision making on the shop floor.
Ensure proper implementation of approved work procedures, method statements and inspection requirements.
Participate in client inspections, FAT demonstrations, audits and acceptance reviews.
Monitor project progress and identify corrective actions to address schedule deviations.
Ensure accurate production reporting, documentation and completion records.
Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving quality, productivity and operational efficiency.
Promote and enforce a strong safety culture throughout fabrication and testing operations.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field is essential; advanced degrees are highly valued.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering roles with a track record of leading projects successfully.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP, Six Sigma, or Professional Engineer (PE) certification will set candidates apart.
- Experience in industries such as aerospace, automotive, software development, or renewable energy is preferred.
