IBIS, a brand within the extensive Accor hospitality ecosystem, is seeking an HVAC/R Technician to join its team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience who are prepared to maintain high operational standards within a dynamic environment.

Role Summary

The HVAC/R Technician is responsible for the comprehensive maintenance, repair, and operation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. This position ensures the efficient functioning of all related equipment, contributing to a comfortable and well-maintained environment for guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform repairs, routine servicing, and operations of HVAC systems to ensure efficient functionality.
• Operate, program, and maintain energy management systems for precise room temperature control.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance inspections, services, and repairs on refrigeration units, isolated heating/ventilating/air-conditioning units, and fan-coil units, including gas, electric, and pneumatic equipment.
• Program, repair, maintain, and operate HVAC control systems, components, and Variable Air Volume (VAV) systems, utilizing desktop and handheld computers for diagnosis and programming.
• Execute skilled electrical maintenance work for HVAC equipment, components, timers, motors, and wiring systems as required.
• Troubleshoot gas and electric heating systems, including installing natural gas lines and inspecting for leaks.
• Inspect, repair, modify, and install HVAC equipment such as compressors, receivers, condensers, evaporators, forced air units, pumps, and various automatic and hand valves.
• Test and examine chilled water and water tower operations, and boilers as necessary, observing meter and pressure gauges.
• Install, inspect, and repair or replace defective parts in HVAC units, equipment, and their controls.
• Lubricate and pack motors, pumps, fans, bearings, and other heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and air conditioning equipment.
• Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools, solder/brazing equipment, vacuum pumps, freon recovery equipment, and other trade-specific test and repair equipment.
• Diagnose HVAC/R mechanical and electrical problems, repairing or replacing malfunctioning parts like fans, motors, thermostats, fuses, filters, bearings, and valves.
• Research and evaluate products for best sources, recommend purchases of selected parts, materials, and equipment, and assist in labor and material estimations for projects.
• Prepare and maintain work orders, records, and reports related to work performed.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of experience in an HVAC/R technical role.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, electrical systems, and plumbing principles.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as voltmeters and pressure gauges.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC/R systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
