About the Role

الشركة المتقدمة لتصنيع المعادن و الزجاج is seeking a Production and Material Planning Engineer to join our team in Dammam. This full-time role is essential for ensuring the efficient flow of materials and components required for our production operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing material requirements, overseeing inventory levels, and coordinating supplier deliveries to maintain uninterrupted production.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this position is to strategically plan and execute material supply to meet production demands. This involves proactive management of the supply chain, from order placement to delivery, and ensuring the accuracy of material data. The engineer will play a key role in optimizing material availability while minimizing waste and stock discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule the supply of materials and components to meet production requirements and maintain appropriate safety stock levels.
• Monitor and manage supplier deliveries, including diligent follow-up on outstanding orders.
• Take prompt action to address any material shortages that may impact production schedules.
• Manage material requirements effectively using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and other relevant systems.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of Bill of Materials (BOM) and inventory data.
• Monitor inventory levels against agreed targets and support regular inventory checks.
• Implement strategies to minimize obsolete and excess stock.
• Prepare regular reports and conduct analysis related to materials and inventory performance.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and support continuous improvement initiatives within material planning.

Qualifications and Experience

We are seeking a qualified and motivated individual with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in material planning, production planning, or a similar supply chain role. Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of material management principles and systems, including MRP.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Dammam. The role operates within a dynamic production environment, requiring close collaboration with production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure operational efficiency.
