About the role

Norsin Meal Services announces the need to hire a Cashier Accountant to join its team in Arar, Northern Borders Region. This is a full-time role and requires 2 to 5 years of experience in a relevant field. The holder will manage daily financial transactions, ensure accuracy of cashier operations, and provide excellent customer service.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Count and log cash amounts in the cash register at the start of each shift, ensuring sufficient small denominations are available.
• Receive payments from customers in cash, by credit cards, or other approved payment methods, settle the remaining amounts, and issue appropriate receipts.
• Continuously update price lists, calculate prices of goods or services, prepare invoicing schedules, and apply discounts when necessary.
• Reconciling cash received with total sales at the end of the shift, and report any discrepancies or resolve them according to established procedures.
• Deal with customers professionally and courteously, and fulfill their requests to add or remove items from purchase lists.

Required qualifications and experience

• Practical experience of 2 to 5 years in the role of cashier or a similar accounting role.
• Ability to handle cash registers and electronic payment systems.
• Strong numeric and daily financial reconciliation skills.
• Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail in all financial transactions.
