We are currently recruiting for a skilled and dependable Heavy Equipment Operator to support outdoor construction, infrastructure, and site development projects for one of our valued clients in Canada.
We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong commitment to safety, operational efficiency, and equipment care. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating excavators and skid steers in fast-paced outdoor work environments.
Key Responsibilities:• Safely operate heavy equipment including excavators and skid steers• Perform grading, trenching, leveling, and general site preparation• Handle and transport construction materials including soil and gravel• Support outdoor construction and infrastructure development activities• Conduct routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance checks• Identify and report equipment or mechanical concerns promptly• Adhere to all workplace safety procedures and operational standards• Work collaboratively with project teams to ensure timely completion of tasks
Qualifications & Requirements:• Proven experience operating heavy equipment in construction or related industries• Strong understanding of job site safety and equipment operation protocols• Ability to work independently and efficiently in outdoor conditions• Basic mechanical knowledge and equipment maintenance experience preferred• Valid driver’s license required• Heavy equipment certification or formal training considered an asset
Preferred Background(Not Mandatory)• Construction, landscaping, or site development experience• Familiarity with agricultural or industrial outdoor operations• Mechanical troubleshooting or repair experience
