Job Details

  • Set up and operate manual machines (lathe, milling machine, grinder, etc.) to produce parts to required tolerances.

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.

  • Measure, examine, and test completed parts to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges).

  • Select appropriate tools, materials, and machine settings for each job.

  • Perform routine maintenance on machines and keep work area clean and organized.

  • Troubleshoot machining problems and make adjustments as needed.

  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to resolve technical issues.

  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or apprenticeship preferred.

  • Proven experience as a manual machinist in a manufacturing or repair environment.

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.

  • Strong knowledge of machining processes, materials, and tools.

  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments.

  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
