Job Title: General Accountant and Cost Accountant (Food Manufacturing)

Location: Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Main Responsibilities:

• Cost Accounting: Develop and maintain the cost accounting structure, determining the cost of the final product (price per kilo, box, or envelope) based on raw materials (sugar, beans, spices) and packaging materials (rolls, cartons).
• Production Line Management and Material Waste: Monitor material variances and calculate the natural and unnatural waste ratios during the packaging and labeling processes.
• Tax Compliance: Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) regulations for the electronic invoicing phase.
• Financial Analysis: Prepare periodic financial reports and analyze the break-even point for each production line (sugar line / coffee line), providing recommendations to reduce waste and increase profitability.
• Inventory Control: Conduct regular and surprise audits of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products, managing discrepancies in inventory using the ERP system.

Skills

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (professional certifications such as SOCPA or CMA are a plus).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a cost accountant or head accountant in food manufacturing or packaging.
• Thorough knowledge of Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) regulations.
• Proficient in working with cloud-based systems or comprehensive accounting software (e.g., SAP, Odoo, Oracle) with a focus on manufacturing and inventory modules.
• Must have a valid transfer permit for expatriates and be registered as a professional accountant in the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants (for Saudi nationals).
