About Aloula Aviation and the Role

Aloula Aviation, based in Dammam, Eastern, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a dedicated First Officer to join its flight operations team. This full-time position is designed for an aspiring pilot with 0-1 years of experience, serving as a key member of the flight crew for the Aloula Fleet. The First Officer operates under the close supervision of the Chief Pilot, Fleet Captain, Training Captain, and Captain, ensuring adherence to all operational standards and procedures.

Operational Context

The First Officer is responsible for assigned flight activities involving various Aramco Fleet aircraft, which include the Boeing 737-800, Gulfstream, Hawker 900XP, King Air 350, and Air tractor 802. Operations are conducted both within and outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, primarily supporting exploration, drilling, and pipeline camps, or operations in remote desert areas utilizing paved or unprepared airstrips. Pilots are expected to exercise initiative and sound judgment to ensure aircraft protection, passenger and cargo safety, and the completion of accurate flight logs and other records.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform First Officer duties, including pilot monitoring and pilot flying, in compliance with the Flight Operation Manual and at the direction of the Captain.
• Conduct interior and pre-flight inspections of the aircraft.
• Initialize navigation systems and verify the accuracy of manually inserted data.
• Obtain weather briefings, route information, file flight plans, and review all flight details for correctness.
• Assist the Captain in checking all instruments, engines, and communications equipment prior to flight.
• Conduct radio communications necessary for departure after engine starts.
• Pilot the aircraft, as directed by the Captain, in accordance with established airman procedures and ICAO/GACA/FAA Rules and Regulations.
• Maintain continuous radio communications with appropriate control facilities, making required position reports and receiving changes/amendments to the flight plan.
• Operate navigation systems to assure proper aircraft track in accordance with flight clearance and maintain a navigation log.
• Advise the Captain of discrepancies noted and assist in developing alternate courses of action when necessary.
• Assist the Captain in assuring the safety and comfort of passengers and ensuring aircraft operation complies with GACA, Company, and Department Operating and Safety Regulations.
• Support the Captain with aircraft securing, Customs & Immigration formalities, and passenger disembarkation.
• Perform assigned standby duty for up to 48 hours per week, and other duties as assigned by the Chief Pilot, Fleet Captain, Training Captain, or Captain, including office duty if required.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 200 flight hours, including hours acquired in an Initial Approved Training Program (IATP).
• Possession of a valid GACA Commercial Pilot License (CPL).
• Hold a current GACA medical certificate.
• A Bachelor's degree in a technical field or an Aviation Related Degree.

This role requires a continuous commitment to professional growth, including ongoing advancement towards satisfactory completion of all ground and flight training for the appropriate aircraft. The First Officer is responsible for continuous progression in knowledge of operating procedures for assigned aircraft and must complete all assigned courses to maintain proficiency and compliance with industry standards.
