Job Description
The Role
As Director of Revenue, Wadi Safar, you will be the strategic architect of revenue optimisation across one of the world’s most ambitious ultra-luxury destinations.
You will lead the development and execution of a forward-looking revenue strategy that maximises profitability, drives total revenue performance, and strengthens positioning across all segments. Acting as a key commercial leader, you will partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to ensure disciplined pricing, optimal inventory management, and a consistently high-value guest mix.
In this role, you will translate market dynamics into actionable strategy—balancing commercial performance with brand integrity to support the long-term success of Wadi Safar.
What You Will Create
Revenue Strategy & Commercial Leadership
- Define and lead the overall revenue strategy across all properties and segments within Wadi Safar
- Drive total revenue optimisation across rooms, suites, ancillary spend, and emerging revenue streams
- Provide strategic guidance on pricing, positioning, and demand generation aligned with brand and destination vision
- Partner with senior leadership and ownership to establish revenue targets, KPIs, and performance frameworks
Pricing, Yield & Inventory Optimisation
- Lead dynamic pricing strategy and yield management across all channels and segments
- Optimise inventory allocation to maximise occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR while protecting brand positioning
- Continuously evaluate market demand, competitor sets, and booking patterns to inform real-time decisions
- Ensure disciplined control of rate integrity across all distribution channels
Forecasting, Reporting & Performance Insight
- Own all revenue forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking processes
- Deliver clear, data-driven insights on market trends, booking behaviour, and business performance
- Produce regular reporting for leadership, ownership, and stakeholders to support strategic decision-making
- Identify risks and opportunities early and proactively adjust strategy to maximise outcomes
Distribution & Channel Management
- Oversee all distribution strategies including direct, OTA, luxury consortia, wholesale, and strategic partnerships
- Optimise channel mix to reduce cost of acquisition and maximise profitability
- Ensure full alignment across all systems, platforms, and third-party partners
- Strengthen direct booking strategy and digital conversion performance
Commercial Collaboration & Alignment
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to ensure fully aligned commercial strategy
- Support integrated demand generation initiatives across pre-opening and operational phases
- Partner with Sales to align account strategy with revenue goals and segment performance
- Collaborate with Finance to ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking
Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Build and lead a high-performing revenue team grounded in analytical excellence and commercial agility
- Develop a culture of accountability, curiosity, and continuous optimisation
- Mentor and develop talent with a focus on building strong regional capability and future leadership pipeline
Qualifications
Who You Are
- A senior commercial revenue leader with extensive experience in ultra-luxury hospitality, destination resorts, or large-scale mixed-use developments.
- Proven track record of driving total revenue optimisation strategies, including pricing, yield, distribution, and forecasting, within complex and high-value luxury environments—ideally across pre-opening and operational phases.
- Deep expertise in revenue management systems, luxury distribution ecosystems, and channel strategy, with a strong understanding of high-end leisure demand, UHNW segmentation, and global booking behaviour.
- Strategic yet commercially sharp, with the ability to translate market intelligence, data insights, and demand patterns into clear revenue strategies that maximise profitability while protecting brand positioning.
- A highly analytical and forward-thinking leader, confident in influencing senior stakeholders, partnering across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance, and shaping commercial decisions at ownership level.
- A strong leader of people, able to build, develop, and inspire high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, precision, and continuous optimisation.
- Fluent in English; additional languages, particularly Arabic, are a strong advantage.
