Job description
Key Responsibilities
- Develop architectural designs, concepts, and detailed drawings for residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects
- Prepare and present design proposals, 3D models, and renderings to clients and stakeholders
- Collaborate with engineers, urban planners, interior designers, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, zoning regulations, and safety standards
- Produce construction documents, technical drawings, and specifications using CAD/BIM software
- Conduct site visits and surveys to assess project requirements and monitor construction progress
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring designs are delivered on time and within budget
- Incorporate sustainable design principles and green building standards where applicable
- Respond to client feedback and revise designs accordingly
Skills
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field
- 2–5 years of professional experience in architectural design (entry or mid-level depending on role)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, or similar design tools
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for presentation work
- Solid understanding of structural systems, building materials, and construction methods
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulatory requirements
- Excellent visual, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
- A portfolio demonstrating a range of design projects is required
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional licensure or progress toward licensure (e.g., ARE in the US, ARB in the UK)
- Experience with LEED, BREEAM, or other sustainability certification programs
- Exposure to urban design or landscape integration projects
- BIM coordination experience on large-scale projects
