Roles & Responsibilities
As an Instructor Pilot (Basic) you will be responsible to the Head of Flying (KFAA) for flying instructional missions for cadets in accordance with appropriate Royal Saudi Air Force training syllabi.
Perform flying operations and cadet training in accordance with KSA Company Flying Regulations and RSAF Regulations.
Identify aviation safety risks and make mitigating recommendations to Sqn Supervisor
Have a working knowledge of SafeTal incident reporting and be familiar with the flying operations Hazard (Risk) Log in both the Hazard and FORM modules.
Provide air operations subject matter expertise to Sqn Supervisor when requested.
Perform duties and delegated tasks from the Sqn Supervisor as directed.
Highlight Cadet training issues to Sqn Supervisory staff.
Follow Sqn Supervisor policies and processes.
Monitor and evaluate the progress of Cadets assigned to him and advise Sqn Supervisory staff of any issues.
Generate reports as required by Sqn Supervisory staff.
Maintain cultural awareness with the customer at all times.
Conform to required standards and operating procedures in keeping with customer needs. Monitor the Aviation Safety culture within the Sqn to ensure adherence to required standards.
Self-monitor fatigue levels in accordance with the KFAA Aircrew Fatigue Management Plan and highlight any concerns to Sqn Supervisory staff.
Advise the Sqn Supervisor of factors adversely affecting safe operations.
Provide ground training lectures and synthetic device missions to cadets as scheduled by their unit.
Desired Candidate Profile
To be eligible for the role of Instructor Pilot (Basic) you will need the following qualifications and experience:
Be a highly experienced military or ex-military Flying Instructor with an RAF A2 instructor qualification (or equivalent) for Basic instruction
Accumulated a minimum of 1500 total flying hours, 800 of which must be on fixed wing aircraft
Accumulated a minimum of 400 total Basic flying instructional hours.
Be a maximum age of 51 when contracted.
Have good people development competencies
High levels of interpersonal skills
The ability to communicate, influence and direct Saudi cadets both in the air and on the ground.
Proficient verbal and written English communication and networking skills.
