Overview Of The Role:


As a Job Estimator in the Workshop, the role is pivotal in providing competitive estimates promptly to enhance customer service for both end users and insurance companies. The position requires a professional who can effectively communicate and negotiate with customers, ensuring estimates are approved and executed efficiently. The Job Estimator is an image builder for the Service Department, fostering trust and confidence within the organization and among stakeholders. Success in this role requires achieving financial targets, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, and ensuring operational efficiency. The role's context involves working extended hours and maintaining robust communication channels internally and externally.


What You Will Do:


  • Execute assigned jobs according to established work standards, specifications, and required time.
  • Observe professional decorum and hospitality with the customer and with co-employees.
  • Secure minimum 80% approval from the estimated number of vehicles.
  • Collect all necessary and reliable information from the customer to support evaluation and assessment on damaged vehicles.
  • Provide estimates of required repairs to customers and negotiate repair charges.
  • Achieve monthly financial targets set for labor hours, parts, and other sales.
  • Manage and monitor work in progress to ensure timely delivery of the vehicle to the customer and remind customers about the next service due.
  • Work extended hours as required by business operations, ensuring effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.


Skills

Required Skills To Be Successful:


  • Technical expertise in automotive estimation and assessment.
  • Proficiency in communication with both customers and peers.
  • Strong negotiation skills to facilitate vehicle repair approvals.
  • Ability to manage and track progress to ensure timely delivery of services.


What Qualifies You For The Role:


  • Diploma or Degree in Technical School, Certificate, or Diploma in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the automotive industry or similar role.
  • Ability to serve as a reliable consultant and provide up-to-date technical information to customers.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and spoken. Computer literacy and driving skills are essential.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, dynamic nature, and well-groomed/presentable personality with a positive attitude towards customer service.
