Job Duties
Under direct supervision of a Well Site Supervisor and Well Site Manager, the sucsessful candidate will :
- Be responsible for well operations at the well site.
- This is a training role for personnel moving from upper level rig crew positions into supervision or as a development position for recent well engineering graduates.
- As a training role, the objectives are to assist the Well Site Supervisor on location and to learn what is required to: Understand objectives of the well services and take actions required to accomplish the objective; take responsibility for all rig operations and reporting and protect the health and safety of employees, contractors, and the general public from harm resulting from operations; protect the environment from damage resulting from operations; coordinate work of product services lines and subcontractors including rig contractor to meet engineered well design; supervise day-to-day field operations at the well site; oversee the move-in, rig up, rig down and move-out of equipment including logistics management to ensure well operations continuity including logistics management to ensure well operations continuity.
- Directing well operations processes; and manage field operations to accomplish specified well service objectives within agreed-on time and cost objectives.
Qualifications
Position requires current IADC or IWCF well control certification. Requires a high school diploma and a minimum of two years of experience in rig operations, preferably at driller level or above, along with a Supervisory Well Control certificate. Five years of experience and an undergraduate degree are desired.
