We are hiring a Railway Incident Investigation Expert to support a major Metro Operations & Maintenance project in Riyadh. The role focuses on leading incident investigations, ensuring compliance with Rail safety and railway protection regulations, and strengthening operational safety performance
Your Role
Lead investigations for rail incidents, accidents, and near-misses across metro operations
Identify root causes and recommend corrective and preventive actions
Prepare clear investigation reports in line with saudi regulatory and international standards
Ensure compliance with railway protection rules, track access, and safe systems of work
Act as a key point of contact btwn client and regulatory authorities
Monitor closure of safety actions and support regulatory audits and inspections
Provide supervisory oversight on safety and operational compliance
Deliver safety lessons learned and support continuous improvement initiatives
About You
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Railway, Civil, Mechanical or related)
20+ years’ experience in railway/metro safety or operations
Proven background in incident investigation within rail/metro projects
Strong knowledge of railway protection regulations and safety rules
Excellent reporting, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
Certified Incident/Accident Investigator
NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent safety certification
Experience in Middle East or GCC rail projects
