Job Description
Manage cost control and project tracking for water and wastewater projects by developing budgets and estimates, monitoring schedules and expenditures through PMIS tools, and ensuring projects stay aligned with financial and timeline goals. Collaborate with project teams to analyze performance data, prepare reports and forecasts, ensure compliance with contracts and project requirements, and identify process improvements while applying industry best practices in project controls.
Develop and maintain project cost estimates and budgets for water and wastewater projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives and financial constraints.
Implement and manage project management information systems (PMIS) to track project progress, expenditures, and schedule adherence.
Monitor project performance against established baselines, identifying and addressing any deviations or variances in cost or schedule.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to gather and analyze project data, providing insights and recommendations to optimize project performance.
Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate project status, cost forecasts, and schedule updates to project teams and management.
Conduct periodic reviews of project documentation and contracts to ensure compliance with project requirements and contractual obligations.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within project cost and schedule management processes.
Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in project management, incorporating relevant advancements into project control strategies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7+ years of work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Strong knowledge of project management processes, including, but not limited to, cost controls, CSI, WBS schedule management, and business process management.
- Well-versed in project scheduling control.
- Well versed with Oracle Projects Costing and experienced in Primavera P6 EPPM and Unifier.
