Job Summary The Junior Accountant supports the Finance Department by handling day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), invoicing, reconciliations, expense tracking, and financial documentation. The role ensures accuracy, timely processing, and proper maintenance of financial records while supporting overall finance operations and audit readiness.
Key Responsibilities Assist with Accounts Receivable (AR) activities, including preparing customer invoices, tracking payments, and following up on outstanding balances Support Accounts Payable (AP) processes by verifying supplier invoices, processing payments, and maintaining vendor records Hands-on experience in E-Invoicing processes and documentation Perform invoice entry, petty cash handling, expense tracking, and routine financial data updates Maintain accurate financial records and documentation, ensuring proper filing and audit readiness Assist with bank, vendor, and customer account reconciliations Support the preparation of basic financial reports, statements, and data entry activities Coordinate with vendors and customers regarding payment-related queries and clarifications Provide administrative and documentation support during internal and external audits Collaborate with finance team members to support daily accounting and operational activities Ensure compliance with company financial procedures, accounting standards, and internal controls
Requirements Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field3 years of experience as an Accounts Assistant or in a similar accounting/finance role Knowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, reconciliations, and expense management processes Familiarity with accounting software and proficiency in MS Excel Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail Good communication, coordination, and organizational skills English proficiency is required; Arabic proficiency is an advantage Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and support team operations Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to finance department objectives
