Roles & Responsibilities
Working hours/leave
- Sunday-Thursday (5 days) usually 7am-4pm with one hour break.
- Annual leave: 31 days
- Public holidays: 10 days annually
- CME: 3-5 days annually
- Sick leave: 30 days annually
Salary
The salary is decided following an in-depth review by their committee. JHAH pays some of the most competitive salaries in the Middle East. It s broken down into several factors:
- Monthly basic salary
- Monthly specialty allowance (Percentage of your basic salary added to your monthly salary. The percentage depends on your specialty and the rarity).
- Monthly visa allowance - 100 SAR per family member for Iqama (residency) expense support.
- Monthly training allowance (Board/CCT certified physicians) 5% of basic salary
- Incentive plan - one month s extra salary per year (This can increase depending on performance)
JHAH Savings Plan
This is an incredibly rare benefit which aims to mirror the pension scheme offering those who join no loss of benefit in leaving countries that offer this.
- JHAH will open a savings account with you, with a percentage of a savings amount that you decide on.
- JHAH will match your saving percentage with a maximum participation of 4%.
Housing allowances
- Monthly housing allowance (25% of basic annual salary)
- Monthly transport allowance (10% of basic annual salary - capped at 3,125 SAR a month)
- Monthly mobility allowance (25% of basic annual salary)
- One time relocation allowance based on your basic salary. This is capped at 45,000 SAR for married contracts and 30,000 SAR for single contracts.
Healthcare and family benefits
- Educational allowance for up to three children 50,000 SAR per annum per child.
- Double health insurance for employee and dependents (JHAH facilities and VIP class insurance)
Desired Candidate Profile
If you wish to apply for this position, you will require the following to qualify as a consultant with this institution, and as per the licensing authorities:
- 3 years Consultant experience in a Western hospital
- 3 years post specialist qualification experience from the following countries:
- UK CCT
- USA American Board
- Canada Canadian Fellowship
- Ireland CSD/CSCST
- Australia & New Zealand (Fellowship)
- France DES/DESC
- Other European countries according to the qualification equivalence tables of the licensing authorities.
