Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data management strategy to support the Operational Excellence & Compliance Division's safety goals and objectives.
  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports to provide insights and trends on safety performance, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for optimization.
  • Develop and implement data management solutions, including data collection, storage, and analysis, to support safety-related data and metrics.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize data requirements, and develop solutions to meet those needs.
  • Develop and maintain data quality control processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of safety data.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members, and mentor them in the development of their skills and expertise.
  • Collaborate with the IT department to implement new software and systems, including:
  • Providing system requirements and specifications to ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Participating in the design and development of new systems and software.
  • Conducting testing and quality assurance to ensure system functionality and performance.
  • Providing training and support to end-users to ensure successful adoption and utilization of new systems and software.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to data management and safety reporting.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. Computer Science, Information Technology).

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in business analysis, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry, with a strong background in Safety.
  • Strong knowledge of business analysis principles, data analysis, and reporting techniques.
  • Experience with data management, including data collection, storage, and analysis.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in programming languages, such as SQL, Python, and R.
  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques, including predictive analytics and data mining.
  • Certification in business analysis, such as Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) or Certified Management Consultant (CMC), is preferred.
  • Experience with cloud-based business analysis tools and platforms, is preferred but not required
