QA/QC engineer supporting hospitality (hotels, stadium, museums, hospitals) projects across the Middle East, ensuring implementation of quality standards and compliance with project specifications.

Performs inspections, prepares quality documentation, and monitors construction activities to verify adherence to approved drawings, materials, and procedures. Supports audits, tracks non-conformances, and coordinates corrective actions with project teams to ensure consistent quality and successful project delivery.

Acts as the PMC representative for all QA/QC matters, coordinating between the contractor, client, and supervision team during project execution.

Reviews the program-wide quality management plan provided by the client and develops, manages, and updates a project-specific quality management strategy and plan in coordination with the project director.

Establishes project QA/QC procedures that integrate with program-wide standards and Hill procedures.

Monitors and reports on project non-conformances and issues non-conformance reports (NCRs) as required.

Administers the quality assurance and quality control regime across all project works.

Oversees and reports on the progress of construction works with respect to quality compliance.

Provides QA/QC input to the project’s weekly, monthly, and executive reports.

Manages and coordinates with the construction supervision consultant (CSC) to review inspections, monitor work quality, track deficiency corrections, issue NCRs, and verify acceptance of completed work.

Conducts regular QA/QC meetings to review compliance, address gaps, and formulate corrective action items.

Ensures the PMC performance management framework (PMF) for quality is effectively implemented, achieving KPIs and milestone targets.

Provides oversight of the main contractor’s delivery of quality throughout all phases, including construction, fit-out, and commissioning.

Participates in project close-out activities to verify quality documentation and compliance with approved plans.

Ensures adherence to Hill International’s quality, environmental, safety, and occupational health policies and procedures.

Performs other duties as assigned by the project director or line manager.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or management from an accredited university.
  • Professional experience of at least 10-15 years, including holding the position of quality manager with large projects.
  • Qualified and experienced lead auditor/ISO 9001 lead assessor.
  • Experience and familiarity with the cultural aspects of project management.
  • Extensive knowledge of quality principles and tools and their applications to engineering, environment, procurement, construction, testing, operations, or decommissioning.
  • Knowledge of applying reconciled corrective actions to cases of non-conformity.
  • Knowledge of organizational requirements and functional specializations that affect the quality plan program.
  • Possesses popular and editorial communication skills.
  • Skill in managing financial performance.
  • Familiarity with the use of computer applications and programs.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Experience of working internationally, with preference for GCC experience.
