Project overview

Project manager overseeing delivery of hospitality (hotels, stadiums, museums, hospitals) projects across the Middle East, ensuring alignment with client requirements and project objectives. Manages day-to-day execution across scope, schedule, cost, quality, and HSE while coordinating multidisciplinary teams and contractors on site. Drives progress monitoring, stakeholder communication, and issue resolution, ensuring successful project delivery in accordance with contractual and technical standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the management of the design work and construction activities during and complete the project.
  • Develop the project responsibility matrix (PRM).
  • Prepare special reports to client management to investigate any problems related to the scope of services and recommend solutions.
  • Identify priorities and tasks and develop the organization structure to assure execution of tasks by providing clear direction on methods, time frame, and schedule to achieve the stated goals.
  • Attend coordination meetings, progress meetings, and executive meetings.
  • Monitor performance to assure successful delivery of the key performance indicators and client contractual requirements.
  • Advise the director on any potential variation to the design/supervision consultant and contractor's scope of work that may generate cost or time impact and present the project management's assessment.
  • Review weekly and monthly reports as presented by design/supervision consultants and contractors and present to the client comments of non-compliance, areas of concern, and corrective actions.
  • Oversee all aspects of the day-to-day management of the construction project; monitor and coordinate work performed by architectural, engineering, and construction departments.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant quality, environmental, safety, and occupational health policies, manuals, and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager or supervisor.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 15 or more years of experience working on complex projects end-to-end within the construction field.
  • Experience in report writing and contractual administration.
  • On-site project experience from initial design through to handover and completion is required.
  • Adequate work experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to think ahead, identify new opportunities, and create innovative approaches to work-related issues.
  • Familiarity with design aspects including space and functional analysis, operator/client liaison, cross-disciplinary issues and coordination, construction interfaces, programming, and cost.
  • Strong management skills of large teams and effective communication.
  • Demonstrates determination, desire to succeed, and ambition to progress and develop within a commercial role.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Word, Excel, and strong user skill level within MS Office or Primavera.
  • Excellent numerical and communication skills.
  • Experience working internationally, preferably in the GCC region.
