Job description

Detail-oriented scheduling engineer with experience supporting high-rise, residential, and commercial building projects across Middle East markets, specializing in developing and maintaining detailed project schedules. Proficient in baseline planning, progress tracking, and delay analysis, ensuring alignment between project milestones, resource allocation, and overall timelines. Skilled in collaborating with project stakeholders to identify risks, optimize sequencing, and support on-time and cost-efficient project delivery.

Provides guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult and complex project control problems.
Interfaces with stakeholders, attends regular meetings, and provides statistical reports.
Provides project and company management with the necessary tools for project cost control.
Develops the work breakdown structure, interfacing with all affected departments.
Analysis, evaluation, forecast, and reporting of schedule status against an established baseline; analysis, evaluation, and forecast of project costs and performance.
Coordinates staffing requirements, assigns and supervises project work activities, and trains personnel.
Accumulates and accesses historical data, such as performance experience, for use in maintaining a realistic basis for future planning and forecasting.
Must be able to assess the impact(s) of design and construction changes and schedule slippages.
Develops or maintains an established system to show the hierarchy of plans and schedules; keeps project and company management fully informed.
Customizes project control systems to meet specific project requirements. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Informs themselves of the relevant quality, environmental, safety, and occupational health policies, manuals, and procedures within the company and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed.
Performs other duties as assigned by the line manager or supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management.
  • 10-15 years of related work experience in GCC projects.
  • Requires basic engineering knowledge in electrical, mechanical, civil, or a related field.
  • Proficient P6 skills including proficiency in various project controls software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must have potential to perform in a lead capacity.
  • Familiarity with industry practices.
  • Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of working internationally (preference GCC experience).
