Talent pool – airport quantity surveyor roles for Middle East projects

Focus on cost estimation, contract administration, and financial management of large-scale aviation developments. Candidates are responsible for preparing BOQs, managing variations, and ensuring effective cost control throughout the project lifecycle. This talent pool targets commercially astute professionals with experience in airport or major infrastructure projects across the region.

Key responsibilities:

  • Confirm the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of the project.
  • Collaborate with suitable contractors for the smooth advancement of a project.
  • Implement best practices to approach and finish a construction project as per the set economic plan.
  • Form fruitful connections with technical and non-technical staff.
  • PMC experience is a must.
  • Evaluate, calculate, and update the released quantity.
  • Prepare quantities and develop a quantity tracking sheet based on the project BOQ’s.
  • Work collaboratively with site managers, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate with the site(s) to get details of executed quantities.
  • Ability to write detailed and concise reports and communicate with clients, subcontractors, and others.
  • Inform themselves of the relevant quality, environmental, safety, and occupational health policies, manuals, and procedures within the company and ensure continued compliance while employed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager or supervisor.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, engineering, or cost engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 10-15 years’ experience in contracts management, including overall responsibility for contract management on large-scale projects.
  • Preferably a chartered member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) or hold an MSc.
  • Ability to successfully manage complex projects proactively and diligently.
  • Ensure a high standard of technical delivery with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in providing procurement advice, tender documentation, and post-contract services.
  • A track record of working with teams and managing projects by prioritizing workloads and meeting deadlines.
  • A team player who is outgoing, flexible, enthusiastic, and ambitious.
  • Ability to deliver in a reactive environment, responding quickly and accurately under pressure.
  • Experience working internationally, with preference for GCC experience.
