Roles & Responsibilities
This role is focused on accelerating project readiness, resolving technical and design-related constraints, and supporting rapid project mobilization across multiple packages and stakeholders. The Design Project Manager will operate as a key coordination interface between KEO s internal design and engineering teams, external consultants, QIC Design and Delivery teams, contractors, and CSC supervision personnel to ensure technical issues are identified early and resolved efficiently.
Acting as a central technical coordination lead across multiple active and mobilizing projects within Qiddiya.
Supporting the Swift Mobilization Team in identifying and resolving design and engineering constraints affecting project commencement and delivery.
Reviewing IFC packages for completeness, constructability, coordination issues, missing details, and interface conflicts.
Coordinating closely with QIC Design, QIC Delivery, contractors, consultants, and KEO CSC teams to expedite technical resolutions.
Managing and tracking RFIs, technical queries, NCR-related design actions, and unresolved engineering issues.
Facilitating multidisciplinary technical workshops and coordination meetings to drive timely decision-making.
Supporting field teams with resolution of site conditions, utility conflicts, temporary works coordination, and unforeseen engineering challenges.
Monitoring design deliverables, technical approvals, and engineering dependencies impacting procurement and construction activities.
Ensuring alignment between design intent, construction sequencing, site logistics, and delivery priorities.
Working collaboratively with internal KEO engineering disciplines including civil, structural, utilities, infrastructure, architecture, and specialist systems teams.
Identifying technical risks, incomplete information, and coordination gaps which may impact schedule, safety, quality, or construction progress.
Supporting rapid mobilization strategies through early technical engagement and proactive interface management.
Assisting project leadership teams with technical reporting, design status updates, mitigation plans, and executive-level summaries.
Coordinating with contractors and consultants to ensure timely closure of outstanding design comments and technical actions.
Promoting collaborative problem-solving and maintaining strong working relationships across all stakeholders.
Supporting implementation of digital engineering, design tracking, and project coordination tools where required.
Desired Candidate Profile
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include overall 10+ years of experience, must have PMC experience. Previous experience of working in Major developments in necessary.
Member of Professional Engineering or Construction Management Society or other recognized body is desirable. Certification(s) in PMP (Project Management Professional) preferred.
- Bachelor s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field (Master s preferred).
- Previous experience working on large-scale mixed-use, infrastructure, entertainment, hospitality, or giga-project developments within the GCC.
- Strong understanding of design management, technical coordination, construction interfaces, and project delivery workflows.
