Roles & Responsibilities
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior SAP Fiori Consultant – Frontend Developer with strong expertise in SAP Fiori/UI5 frontend development and OData-based application consumption, supported by solid ABAP backend understanding. The consultant will be engaged on a 1-year temporary onsite contract and will focus on delivering modern, user-friendly SAP Fiori solutions aligned with SAP UX and performance standards.
Design, develop, and enhance SAP Fiori frontend applications (primary responsibility):
Custom SAP UI5 applications
Fiori Elements (List Report, Object Page, Overview Page)
SAP Fiori Launchpad configuration (catalogs, groups, roles)
Develop responsive, reusable, and performance-optimized SAP UI5 components
Consume and integrate OData services exposed via SAP Gateway
Apply SAP Fiori UX design principles and ensure consistent user experience
Perform frontend debugging, performance tuning, and cross-browser testing
Collaborate closely with functional consultants, UX designers, and backend ABAP developers
Support approval workflows and business processes through Fiori-based applications
Provide onsite support during SIT, UAT, cutover, go-live, and production phases
Coordinate with offshore teams and ensure effective knowledge transfer
Desired Candidate Profile
Backend & Supporting Responsibilities (Secondary)
Work with ABAP backend teams to define and optimize OData services
Support RICEFW developments where required
Assist in backend debugging related to Fiori/OData issues
Understand integration points with SAP Workflow, PM, and other SAP modules
Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of SAP technical experience with strong focus on SAP Fiori Frontend
Proven hands-on experience in:
SAP UI5 / Fiori Frontend Development
Fiori Elements & Custom UI5 Apps
SAP Gateway & OData service consumption
Solid understanding of:
JavaScript, XML Views, MVC architecture
SAP Fiori Design Guidelines and UX standards
Working knowledge of SAP ABAP (Secondary Skill):
Experience working in onsite, customer-facing roles
Preferred / Good to Have
Exposure to SAP PM module (procurement and inventory processes) – Plus
Experience in S/4HANA Fiori environments
Familiarity with CDS Views and annotation-driven Fiori apps
Experience in Agile project methodologies
SAP Fiori / UI5 or S/4HANA certification(s)
