Overview


AtkinsRéalis is looking for a Senior Risk Manager based in Saudi Arabia.The Senior Risk Manager will be responsible for facilitation of identification, analysis and mitigation planning of various risks associated with construction packages/sitewide stakeholders and deliverables. In charge of developing a risk management plan as a governance framework to deploy the above mandate, the core added value is to recommend and advise the client and PMO on maturing controls and contingency plans and communicating recommendations to senior management. Moreover, the allocated construction packages and the supervision of other PMCMs are among the key assurance roles envisaged per the agreed risk management plan.

Your role


  • Encourages a proactive and collaborative approach by all members of project teams in resolving and mitigating risks,
  • Formulates and provides assurance to implement a strategy for identifying and managing project risks that threaten the success of each Project,
  • Risk Management Planning: Sitewide risk management role shall be responsible to decide and recommend on how to approach and plan the risk management activities for each construction package and assurance and synergy over top risks of PMCMs through upstream and downstream cascading,
  • Provides guidance, direction, and specialized assistance to project for the resolution of difficult and complex risk problems,
  • Interfaces with clients, attends regular meetings, and provides statistical reports,
  • Assesses the impact(s) of design/construction changes and schedule slippages,
  • Directs the development and maintenance of an established system to show the hierarchy of plans and schedules; keeps project and client management fully informed,
  • Prioritizes the requirements for Risk response identification,
  • Formulates appropriate responses to the identified Risks,
  • Quantifies the cost and time impacts of the current and residual risks,
  • Controls the implementation of identified Risk responses,
  • Monitors changes in Risk exposure, identifying new Risks and modifying responses,
  • Key Stakeholder Identification and Coordination,
  • Organizes and facilitates Risk Workshops,
  • Maintains and issues the Risk Registers,
  • Participates in business development efforts by gathering and presenting a variety of background data,
  • Conducts informal or formal presentations,
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as deemed appropriate.

  • The role of risk management: Applies risk management across the PMCM1 mandated scope and educates stakeholders to identify and act on risk.
  • Governance, Plans and objectives: Develops and implements sitewide approach and attitude to the way in which it manages risk.
  • Project/Controls management: Enables PMCM1 and sitewide stakeholders to create significant opportunities and recognizes associated risks.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Ensures risks are efficiently addressed through understanding stakeholders and their motivations.
  • Data management: Ensures data is appropriately managed and decisions are found on reliable information.
  • Risk reporting: Defines performance measures and provides the right information in required formats in a timely manner to the appropriate decision-makers.
