The Branch Manager is responsible for leading, managing, and continuously improving the commercial, operational, and financial performance of an assigned country or region. The role provides end-to-end leadership across all branch functions, including operations, sales, hire desk, credit control, and people management, ensuring alignment with company's vision, values, and regional objectives. The Branch Manager ensures that safe, efficient, and compliant working practices are consistently applied, while driving revenue growth, optimizing operational performance, managing risk, and delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
• Develop, propose, and deliver annual business plans covering sales growth, business development, and operational performance, aligned with Group objectives.
• Lead pricing strategy, capital investment planning, and asset utilization to maximize return on investment.
• Drive initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify risks and growth opportunities.
• Work closely with sales and operations teams to implement differentiation strategies that position as the preferred powered access rental provider.
Operational Management
• Oversee depot and fleet performance to ensure optimal equipment availability, utilization, and timely delivery.
• Manage credit control, cash collection, and debtor exposure to maintain healthy cash flow and minimize financial risk.
• Deliver operational excellence across logistics, servicing, and technical operations.
• Analyse and monitor key operational and financial KPIs, ensuring performance is clearly understood and corrective actions are implemented.
• Implement continuous improvement programs to enhance productivity, service quality, and operational efficiency.
• Optimize organizational structures to maximize sales and operational effectiveness.
Business Development
• Manage relationships with local sponsors and strategic partners.
• Develop and manage key customer relationships and area-based sales portfolios to meet growth and profitability targets.
• Lead and direct sales teams, balancing volume growth with margin protection through effective pricing strategies.
• Promote brand visibility and market reputation through marketing, PR, and CSR initiatives.
Team Leadership
• Lead, develop, and motivate sales and operational teams to achieve agreed objectives and timelines.
• Establish clear accountabilities, performance expectations, and measurable KPIs across all functions.
• Embed strong people management practices to attract, develop, and retain critical talent.
• Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, safety, and customer service.
• Ensure succession planning and leadership development pipelines are in place.
Compliance & Risk Management
• Ensure full compliance with local labour, employment, and regulatory requirements, including residency and visa regulations. • Set and model the highest standards of ethics, behaviour, and professionalism in line with company values.
• Ensure compliance with internal health, safety, and corporate governance standards in accordance with company Policy.
• Promote health and safety best practices with employees, contractors, and external stakeholders.
Proven experience in senior commercial and/or operational management with a strong record of delivering revenue growth and differentiated sales strategies.
• Demonstrated experience in full P&L ownership, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
• Extensive experience in the rental business with various equipment or related sector (O&G, Events, Industrial, etc..).
• Strong understanding of local market dynamics, customer behaviour, and competitor activity.
• Solid experience in business planning, cost recovery, revenue recognition, and organizational design.
• Credible leader with excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
