Job Details

Role Summary:· Responsible for ensuring the quality of incoming materials, semi-finished, in-process & final product inspection of manufactured products as per customer, industry standards and/or regulatory requirements. · Facilitation of continuous improvement projects designed to identify and eliminate the root cause of non-conformances.· Maintaining and overseeing quality documentations related to customer’s quality requirements and aligning with the company’s document management systems and processes.· driving a “Quality at Source” culture.
Responsibilities and Competencies: Assign QC Inspector for day to day checking of production parts to meet production schedule. Develop quality inspection methods and develops inspection and quality plans as required based on customer's requirements. Identify and establish in-process/ outgoing product QC inspection criteria and provide training to QC inspectors. Assist quality engineer to maintain KPIs for monitoring of process and/or product quality, perform analysis, and interpret trends, identifying and activating on appropriate actions as necessary. Assist quality team in overseeing the measuring equipment calibration program including ordering, managing and coordinating with vendor. Raise and follow up on non-conforming products for engineering disposition and report trend analysis of non-conforming products to Quality Manager quarterly. Prepare procedures and work instructions as required for new changes in industry & customer quality standards. Support internal & external audits as required. Act as backup during absence of Sr. QC Inspector. Follow up on corrective action of non-conforming products for supplier related quality issues. Liaise with internal departments on inspection status and quality issues related to in-house production. Support in handling customers feedback, complaints & claims that includes performing verification of customer return. Participate in all quality initiatives for internal, customer feedback, claims or complaints. Support to perform final inspection for CNC plastics, CNC metallic and elastomers products as required. Drive internal and/or supplier non-conformances to ensure timely disposition for closure of QNs. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Sr. QC Inspector. Support/execute continual improvement initiatives by QHSE manager. Achieve departmental objectives set by the QHSE manager.
Core Competencies· Independence and self-motivated.· Able to interpret customer BOM, Quality Plan and drawing requirements.· Able to read engineering drawings.· Able to use basic measuring instrument (example: caliper, micrometer, CMM , dial tester and height gauge)· Ability to prioritize, manages time well, multitasks and troubleshoots as well as to perform tasks within tight time constraints. · Ability to work / interact effectively at all personnel levels and with all functional departments in the organization.· Ability for systematic and rational analysis to identify the root cause of problems.
Education & Experience · Diploma in Quality, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.· Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in QC laboratory , manufacturing environment.· Preferably with experience as QC Inspector/ Lab QC.· Knowledge of QMS & Document controls.· Experience in Oil & Gas and rubber manufacturing environment is an added advantage.
