Responsibilities

Lead and manage R&D projects focused on downstream chemical processes, including patch reactor chemicals, petrochemicals, and value-added derivatives. Develop and execute research strategies aligned with business goals and market trends. Oversee process development, optimization, and scale-up from lab to pilot and commercial production. Drive innovation in product formulation, catalyst development, and process technologies. Collaborate with operations, engineering, and commercial teams to ensure seamless technology transfer. Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities for competitive advantage. Manage R&D budgets, timelines, and resource allocation effectively. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Mentor and develop a high-performing team of scientists and engineers. Establish partnerships with academic institutions, research organizations, and technology providers.
Qualifications

PhD in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Organic Chemistry, or a related field. Minimum of 15 years of experience in downstream chemicals, or petrochemical industries. Proven track record in leading R&D teams and delivering successful projects. Strong knowledge of process design, simulation, catalysis, reaction engineering, and product development. Experience with scale-up, pilot plant operations, and commercialization. Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills. Familiarity with industry standards, HSE practices, and regulatory requirements.
