The role will be responsible for the delivery of field Operations and maintenance activities across wet utilities including seawater desalination plants, sewage treatment plants and waste management treatment plants within the infrastructure realm of RSU, ensuring seamless support for all field-based users of Utilities services.
This role will be in-charge of planning & handling end to end field operations and maintenance processes specific to wet utility infrastructure within RSU. He/she shall ensure flawless functional execution towards up-keep of necessary wet infrastructure including hydroelectric power plants, reservoirs, associated transmission & distribution systems through on-site teams deployed on-ground by providing clear directions & necessary decision support. This role shall also contribute towards promoting continuous improvement across operational methods adopted by the department.
The role holder will collaborate closely with various utility departments and asset owners to ensure effective coordination and communication. Maintain coordination with the RSU Dry & Technology Team.
The role will also assist in managing the maintenance and reliability strategy, field operational objectives, and field maintenance operations. Ensure overall functioning of field operations and maintenance within stipulated budget and timelines established within RSU.

Ensure smooth running of daily operational activities concerning field operations and maintenance across wet utility facilities (including the seawater desalination plants, sewage treatment plants and the waste management treatment facilities), through provisioning of prompt and efficient service delivery to customers.

Implement corrective actions identified specific to wet utilities during emergencies, operational disruptions, equipment breakdowns, or quality concerns, under the guidance of the leadership team.

Proactively manage compliance across processes, guidelines, and operational efficiency measures, within the purview of field operations and maintenance across wet utilities under the guidance of the leadership team

Ensure supervision of on-ground system maintenance activities, including issuance of work order to relevant authorities for conducting regular on-site checks, repairs, and component replacements across wet utilities.

Ensure compliance with industry standards, laws, regulations, and safety guidelines within field operations and maintenance activities specific to wet utilities.

Partner with teams to promote safety, sustainability, quality, production, and reliability within field operations and maintenance functions.

Manage Oversight & Interaction with PPP – Wastewater: Manage the delivery and documentation of influent to the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), oversee wastewater/sewage management operations, maintain influent delivery records, conduct the sampling and testing of Treated Sewage Effluent (TSE) at designated delivery points.

Manage Oversight & Interaction with PPP – Water O&M: Lead the review and rescheduling of maintenance procedures and schedules of primary water network, communicate changes to PPP, and oversee water quality assessments and sampling management at collection and delivery points.

Manage the water tank maintenance plan revisions and end-user notifications, assist in workforce allocation for inspections, and contribute to the management of work orders and communication strategies.

Support supplementary & emergency water supply management, facilitate communication of delivery schedules, assist with rescheduling as needed, and contribute to the maintenance of detailed records regarding emergency water dispatches.

Manage the confirmation of service plans related to sewage maintenance with end users, facilitate the postponement of sewage maintenance if necessary, and aid in the updating of records post-maintenance.

Manage the monitoring of water network, facilitate the work order creation for inspections, and help maintain accurate log reports of network operations.

Manage the initial steps of the segregated waste collection process, including bin location finalization and schedule preparation, and contribute to the communication with PPP for additional waste collection services.

Manage the initial identification of by-products and conduct market evaluations, assist in reviewing quality reports, and help coordinate with Commercial Services for off-taker agreements and collection scheduling.

Manage the response to unplanned water distribution network outages by receiving notifications, assessing severity, informing Customer Services for end-user communication, coordinating with PPP on requirements, and overseeing the issuance and closure of work permits.

Manage additional water and wastewater connections by assessing water requirements, verifying capacity with PPP, and determining infrastructure capability to allocate new connections or take necessary actions based on site readiness
