Job Purpose Evaluate and review every Encroachment Permit, Excavation Work Request & Isolation and Plant Outage Request received from Contractors, Customers or Business Units in accordance with the company's Encroachment and Excavation Isolation Procedure prior to issuing the permit.
Key Accountabilities
QHSE Responsibilities Comply with the relevant QHSE procedures and instructions within the area of responsibility so that personal safety and the safety of others is not jeopardized. Report any health and safety risks, hazards, near misses and accidents immediately. Contribute towards Business Unit Health & Safety targets and KPIs. Use the appropriate PPE and inform direct Supervisor when replacement is required. Maintain company vehicle and drive with due care and attention adhering to Traffic Safety Rules and Vehicle Traffic Management Procedure. Maintain tools and equipment issued and keep in good order at all times. Support and participate in the implementation of Integrated Management System (IMS) within the area of responsibility and have clear understanding of the business impact to the environment. As nominated OHS Champion - to act as the focal point for the implementation, review, auditing and performance monitoring of the OHSMS.
Technical Studies Evaluate Encroachment Permit, Excavation Work Request & Isolation/Plant Outage Request as per scope of work to ensure the company's requirements are met as per procedure.
Document Submittals Review Encroachment Permit, Excavation Work Request & Isolation/Plant Outage Request submittals to assure the correctness and identify variances with respect to the scope of work.
Inspection Monitoring / inspect all Encroachment Permit, Excavation Work Request & Isolation/Plant Outage Request according to a schedule… to assure the existing Marafiq utilities are not affected and the work is within the scope of work. Communicate with the Encroachment Permit Section in Royal Commission Roads Department to stop any work carried out by contractors or customers near Marafiq assets without approved Encroachment Permit.
Policies & Procedures Follow all relevant operational procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor degree in engineer in the discipline of Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum Experience3 years' experience as Technical Specialist or Inspector in the water or utilities industry, or constructions site
