Company Overview

Established in 2009 – GMCO have fostered a discovery led approach to mine development – since its formation the company has made two major discoveries at Jabal Qutman (Gold) and in the Wadi Bidah (Copper-Gold VMS) which are now moving through Feasibility assessment, as well as several smaller discoveries across its licence portfolio. GMCO operates across one of the largest Exploration land packages in Saudi Arabia with access to over 2200km² of ground across 29 Exploration licences – a further 275km² (Four licences) are shortly to be issued following the conclusion of the latest MIM Round 9 bidding process.

Job Summary

To manage and coordinate all logistics and transportation activities related to mining operations, including inbound and outbound movement of equipment, raw materials, and hazardous goods, with a strong focus on customs clearance, transport compliance, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, monitor, and execute daily logistics operations to ensure on-time delivery and optimal inventory levels Coordinate transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities with internal teams and external partners Track shipments, resolve delays, and manage exception handling with proactive communication to stakeholders Maintain accurate records for compliance, including customs, import/export, and regulatory requirements Optimize routes, modes, and carrier selection to reduce costs and improve service levels Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports on logistics performance Support procurement and warehouse teams in demand planning and inventory management Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and safety

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field.

Additional certification CILT / CSCP is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with ERP and WMS systems; proficiency in Excel or data analysis tools Knowledge of international shipping, customs, and trade compliance Strong vendor management and negotiation skills Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment

Skills And Experience

Transport & Freight Logistics –

Knowledge of truck, rail, sea, and air transport relevant to remote or rural locations.

Shipping & Customs Documentation –

Experience in preparing commercial invoices, packing lists, HS codes, and handling customs clearance.

Vendor & Freight Coordination –

Managing third-party transporters and suppliers for timely deliveries.

Software and System Proficiency

ERP Systems (e.g., Dynamics 365) – For purchase orders, inventory, and logistics modules.

TMS (Transport Management Systems) – For planning and tracking transport activities.

Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets – Data analysis, shipment tracking logs, cost control reports.

Communication & Coordination Skills

Cross-functional Communication –

Coordination with procurement, warehouse, site managers, and transporters.

Negotiation Skills –

For freight contracts and resolving supplier or delivery issues.

Multilingual Skills –

Fluent in written and spoken English, Arabic (optional but valuable).

Experience

3 years in logistics, with direct experience in customs clearance for mining or industrial sectors.

Experience with ERP systems and logistics tracking software.

Willingness to Travel / Work in Remote Areas: Site visits or operations coordination in rugged, off-grid mining locations may be required.
